Anne Yoon, DDS MS

Dr. Yoon received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the UCLA School of Dentistry(2006) and completed her Orthodontics Specialty Certificate & Masters in Oral Biology at the Loma Linda University Graduate Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics Program (2008). Her undergraduate training also began at UCLA where she majored in Molecular Cell & Developmental Biology (1998-2000), and she completed her Bachelors in Science in Biology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, CA (2002).

Dr. Yoon has been practicing orthodontics since 2006, providing orthodontic care for children, teens & adults. Dr. Yoon is also an Invisalign® Preferred Provider, and is certified for Lingual Orthodontics. Dr. Yoon’s approach to orthodontics is conservative & focused on overall long-term dental health & wellness.

Dr. Yoon is married to Dr. Ko and they enjoy living in neighboring Danville with their daughter Joie and son JJ. Her family still resides in Pleasant Hill (in the same house!) where she was raised. Dr. Ko & Yoon are passionate about supporting their local schools & community and continue to mentor students in pursuing their academic endeavors. Dr. Yoon’s hobbies include yoga, and baking & cooking healthy recipes for family & friends.

Born in San Francisco & raised in Pleasant Hill, Dr. Yoon is a San Francisco Bay Area native. Her interest and career path in healthcare stems directly from her family upbringing. Living an active & healthy lifestyle was always a family priority growing up, often involving family runs at the Lafayette Reservoir and learning the values of a whole foods diet from her mother and father (an avid organic gardener) .Her mother who is a Registered Nurse at John Muir Medical Center later earned her PhD in Eastern Medicine and Acupuncture and opened her practice in Pleasant Hill. Her father is a retired engineer and current translator for Korean Language Services. Her older sister Jane Clark is a physician in Georgia, her brother Charles is a Pharmacist and her youngest brother David is a physician in the Bay Area.

Dr. Yoon grew up actively involved in her local community throughout the years. She served as a volunteer at the Berkeley Free Dental Clinic. She was also a longtime volunteer for the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek and was subsequently awarded the John Muir Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship in 1998 and the Edna Hayward Scholarship in 2004 by the Mt. Diablo Medical Center. She was a violinist for the Young Artists Symphony Orchestra and the Oakland Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her family continues to be actively involved in the church & volunteer community in Pleasant Hill.
